How the five-year scenario is built
The calculator compares recurring spend with an internal modernization and operations range. It prepares a conversation; it does not replace an inventory of workflows, contracts and infrastructure.

Example with COP 100 million per year
Continuing totals COP 500 million. The modernization and operations scenario ranges from COP 185 million to COP 350 million; displayed positive savings range from COP 150 million to COP 315 million. The central scenario releases COP 250 million and estimates payback at approximately 10 months.

A layer is enabled only when its local record includes origin, license, attribution, retrieval date, hash and redistribution approval. The demo does not republish customer, owner, property-registry or private appraisal data.

GeoSAT OpenGIS does not reproduce MapGIS or guarantee equivalence with a specific installation. H&G maintains an active MapGIS suite; this page compares an open, testable architecture rather than another product’s commercial status.

- 03No coverage in the public IGAC source does not mean a municipality has no cadastre. It may use another manager or may not be published in this dataset.
- 04If the live source fails, the interface identifies the error and offers the Almeida sample as a fallback; it never presents it as the requested municipality.
- 05The environmental layer is a local simulation for demonstrating stations, levels and alerts. It is not an official alert.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before assessing a migration
Does GeoSAT OpenGIS replace every MapGIS installation?
No. The demo proves specific capabilities with open components. Functional, operational and contractual equivalence must be validated workflow by workflow against the actual installation.
What happens when a municipality has no cadastral coverage in this source?
The catalog retains the municipality and states that the queried public dataset does not offer coverage. The gap is not filled with invented data and does not prove that the municipality has no cadastral information.
Where do the savings percentages come from?
30%, 50% and 63% are internal five-year planning scenarios. They are not universal prices and are not derived from one particular public contract.
Are my financial figure or map selection sent to GeoSAT?
Not while using the demo. They are attached to the contact message only if the person explicitly selects the authorization checkbox before sending it.
Can I use the demo without signing up?
Yes. Search, inspection, measurement, export and calculation require no account or email address.
