EDITORIAL REVIEW
2026-10-18
Mining decisions bring together title geometry, working areas, constraints, environmental evidence, land, infrastructure and records produced at different times. We structure that information so every overlay shows its source, date, scale and owner. GIS supports review and coordination; it does not independently determine rights, authorization, environmental viability or compliance with obligations.
Build an inventory with clear boundaries
We begin with the processes the system must support: exploration, planning, operations, environmental monitoring, land management or reporting. Public and private sources are inventoried, their usage conditions are checked and each cutoff is recorded. Reference geometry remains separate from internal interpretations. A change in an official source does not silently overwrite an earlier analysis; versions are preserved and affected decisions are flagged for review.
The model can connect titles, operational polygons, workings, access roads, facilities, monitoring sites, permits, commitments and documents. Every object uses consistent identifiers and controlled states. Intersections with environmental, territorial or land areas are treated as signals for analysis rather than automatic decisions. Accuracy, scale and currency determine how a result may be used.
Outputs for technical and management teams
Depending on scope, deliverables can include a source catalogue, geodatabase, dictionary, quality rules, update workflows, role-based viewer and gap dashboard. Field capture can connect photographs, samples or reports to the appropriate object. Permissions protect sensitive information, while public layers retain their licence and attribution.
For environmental or regulatory packages, we prepare a correspondence against the verified current version of the required model and apply internal consistency checks. This readiness work does not guarantee receipt and does not replace an official process. GeoJSON used for diagnosis or exchange is identified accordingly and is not presented as an official format.
Start with a decision case
Scoping inputs include the project stage, area, sources, systems, access profiles and three recurring decisions. A first phase can organize a repository, build an operational inventory or integrate constraints for review. The proposal separates data engineering, specialist interpretation, software development and operations, with observable criteria for provenance, completeness, geometry, access and updates. This prevents the purchase of an attractive viewer that does not solve daily traceability.

Frequently asked questions
Does a GIS overlay confirm that an activity is authorized?
No. It identifies spatial relationships for review; legal status and permits must be verified with competent sources and accountable specialists.
Can public and private information be integrated?
Yes, while preserving provenance, cutoff, licence, access level and usage limits for every source.
Does the service replace environmental or geological studies?
No. It organizes and integrates their outputs and may reveal gaps, but does not replace specialized study production or sign-off.
