EDITORIAL REVIEW
2026-10-18
Preparing a MAG requires more than completing folders: each geometry, attribute, source and document must correspond to the applicable version and the actual study. We help environmental and geospatial teams organize that package, review consistency and preserve traceability before submission. The result is a better controlled internal process, not certification, official validation or a promise of acceptance by ANLA.
Verify the reference before production
The first task is to confirm the current instrument, its official source, status, version and verification date. We then build a matrix of objects, attributes, formats and evidence for the specific scope. This prevents a team from copying an old template or mixing requirements from different procedures. Interpretation questions remain visible for consultation rather than being concealed inside an automated rule.
We inventory layers, tables, appendices and owners. Every source records provenance, cutoff, usage authorization, original coordinate system and applied transformations. Objects are connected to chapters, plans and documents so a correction is not lost among versions. Naming conventions and change controls make it possible to reconstruct who changed an item and why.
Readiness controls
Review may cover directory structure, file presence, schemas, types, domains, required fields, identifiers, geometries, spatial extent, duplicates and consistency between manifest and content. Findings are assigned a severity and owner. A geometry error might allow a controlled technical correction; a missing source or inconsistency with the study requires a responsible team decision.
The local precheck processes a sample in the browser and flags observable elements against the registered version. It neither sends nor stores the file. If it produces GeoJSON, that output supports internal diagnosis and exchange: it is not an official MAG format. No tool result replaces professional review or ANLA's process.
The energy experience is shared with the energy-planning cluster rather than duplicated. It describes a method applied across twelve anonymized projects without publishing clients, files, decisions or private outcomes.
Ways to engage
We can audit a sample, support periodic closeouts or structure the entire control workflow. Scoping requires the procedure phase, reference version, approximate inventory and volume, working systems and target date. The proposal distinguishes preparation, correction, documentation and final internal review, with assumptions and acceptance criteria that the team can verify before submitting its package.

ANONYMIZED RELATIONSHIP
Shared, anonymized energy experience
The same methodological case used for the energy cluster, without duplicating evidence or disclosing clients, files, official decisions or private outcomes.
Review scope and limits →LOCAL TOOL
Local precheck for the current MAG
Flags observable gaps and inconsistencies against the registered review version. It is not an official validator and cannot guarantee ANLA acceptance.
Local processing: the file is not uploaded or persisted. Maximum 10 MB. JSON, GeoJSON or XML depending on the tool.

Frequently asked questions
Does the precheck guarantee that ANLA will accept the package?
No. It is a readiness review based on observable rules; assessment and decisions belong exclusively to ANLA under the applicable procedure.
Do you always work from the same MAG template?
No. The applicable version, date and official source are verified before work begins to avoid using an outdated structure.
Can exported GeoJSON be submitted as the official package?
No. It is a diagnostic aid. Official packages must preserve the formats, structure, names and documentation required by the current instrument.
