Walking and tactical urbanism in Medellín

Explore tactical-urbanism interventions by neighborhood and published status. Compare them with the 2014 plan’s reference pedestrian network, distinguishing segments marked existing or proposed in that plan.

These are inventories and planning maps, not checks of walkable sidewalks, completed works or accessible routes. The tactical-urbanism service declares no review date and retains one unverified construction-year value of 2028. The pedestrian network includes connections outside Medellín; its records are dated December 17, 2014.

How to use it

How to use the map

  1. Open the viewer with this theme’s first layer enabled. Search a neighborhood or enter coordinates as latitude, longitude.
  2. Enable other layers in the theme and zoom in. Detailed cadastral layers require a close scale to keep queries bounded.
  3. Select a feature on the map or in the Results list. Check its attributes, retrieval time and any partial-result notice.
  4. Choose a field and exact value to filter the layer. Export includes only received results, with attribution and dates; it does not download the whole municipality.

Sources, dates and limits

Each source’s verification date appears in the table. Retrieval time is not the data update date. Small city-wide layers use the full extent; larger layers depend on the visible area. Reference publications retain their original retrieval date. Each response contains up to 500 features and 2 MB. Reference publications load matching pages, up to 5,000 features and 8 MB per query. External services may return partial samples, identified in the viewer.
