Explore the 17 Guardabosques project reserves and designated protected areas associated with Medellín. Municipal reference: reserves updated December 10, 2025 and protected areas November 28, 2025, according to the service description. The publication retains ten protected areas; nine intersect the viewer extent and Alto de San Miguel lies to the south. Some areas span neighboring municipalities, so their full areas are not protected-area totals within Medellín. These boundaries do not establish public access, open trails or visitor conditions.

- Enable other layers in the theme and zoom in. Detailed cadastral layers require a close scale to keep queries bounded.
- Select a feature on the map or in the Results list. Check its attributes, retrieval time and any partial-result notice.
- Choose a field and exact value to filter the layer. Export includes only received results, with attribution and dates; it does not download the whole municipality.
Sources, dates and limits
Each source’s verification date appears in the table. Retrieval time is not the data update date. Small city-wide layers use the full extent; larger layers depend on the visible area. Reference publications retain their original retrieval date. Each response contains up to 500 features and 2 MB. Reference publications load matching pages, up to 5,000 features and 8 MB per query. External services may return partial samples, identified in the viewer.
