Quality of life · historical series in Medellín
Compare the Multidimensional Living Conditions Index (IMCV) of urban and rural districts from 2014 to 2024. Explore differences in index points, annual maps and each area’s trend.
Reference publication retrieved on September 26, 2026: all 21 areas and 210 annual values. Historical 15-dimension IMCV series, on a 0–100 scale. The service does not publish 2020 or declare an update date. The ECV portal also publishes a 10-dimension AMPI baseline for 2023: it is a different index and is not combined with this series. The ECV 2025 report contains more recent figures; this layer retains the map service’s values through 2024. A map self-intersection in La América was repaired without changing indices and with an area change below 0.01%. A simple average across areas is not the city index and does not describe every household.

How to use itHow to use the map
- Open the viewer with this theme’s first layer enabled. Search a neighborhood or enter coordinates as latitude, longitude.
- Enable other layers in the theme and zoom in. Detailed cadastral layers require a close scale to keep queries bounded.
- Select a feature on the map or in the Results list. Check its attributes, retrieval time and any partial-result notice.
- Choose a field and exact value to filter the layer. Export includes only received results, with attribution and dates; it does not download the whole municipality.
Sources, dates and limits
Each source’s verification date appears in the table. Retrieval time is not the data update date. Small city-wide layers use the full extent; larger layers depend on the visible area. Reference publications retain their original retrieval date. Each response contains up to 500 features and 2 MB. Reference publications load matching pages, up to 5,000 features and 8 MB per query. External services may return partial samples, identified in the viewer.
