Explore these layers ↗

Reference mapping published by IGAC from municipal planning instruments. The catalog lists publication on 28 November 2025 and inputs dated 20 February 2025; these are not adoption dates or polygon update dates. The layer does not identify the applicable act for each feature: query the instrument register separately under Tools. Codes retain official domain labels without standardizing categories or filling nulls. Empty compatible, conditional or prohibited-use fields do not mean a use is allowed. All received polygons, rings and vertices are retained; counts do not represent parcels or exclusive areas. Queries load the visible area in pages. Does not certify authorized uses, building capacity, permits, planning validity or current hazards. “Conservación arquitectónica” retains urban use 5, Institutional; “Desarrollo (Lotes)” retains 8, Other, without establishing parcel identity or implementation. Expansion notes are retained only for records that report them. All 14 rural records are queried as 733 exact polygon components, with source OBJECTID and ID_COMPONENTE_COPIA, all rings and vertices and no rounding. Copy counts describe components, not parcels; broad queries may reach limits and require zooming or moving the map. Mining labels do not establish permits and protection labels do not certify current boundaries. Compatible, conditional and prohibited uses are unreported.

Query planning and land use at a point

Locate an area and read matching polygons from the integrated layers together. The record retains their codes, attributes, sources and dates; unknown values remain unreported.

  1. Open the viewer and choose the planning query.
  2. Mark a point on the map or query its center. Pan the map to inspect another area.
  3. Compare findings by layer and open their sources. A layer with no matches, awaiting integration or unavailable does not establish an absence of rules.

This is a mapping query by location, not an address search or a legal report. It confirms neither legal validity, permits nor authorized activities; cross-check applicable documents and administrative acts.

How to use the map

  1. Open the prepared query for this theme in the viewer. Locate an area using latitude, longitude coordinates or general place and address search.
  2. Review enabled layers and zoom to their query scale. Check each layer’s scope: it may query the visible area or the full municipal extent. An empty or unavailable service does not establish that no conditions apply.
  3. Select a feature on the map or in the Results list. Check its attributes, retrieval time and any partial-result notice.
  4. Choose a field and exact value to filter the layer. Export includes received results, with attribution and dates. Its coverage depends on the query scope and filters.

Local search and identifiers

Open the planning example and press “Query map center” to view 47883, “Actualización en áreas de uso mixto 1”. To filter other records, use “View layers and explore the area”, “Inspect and export results”, the Activity areas layer and the Record identifier (OBJECTID) field. 47881, “Conservación arquitectónica”, retains use 5, Institutional. 47886 and 47887, “Desarrollo (Lotes)”, retain use 8, Other: their names identify neither parcels nor current development readiness. All 14 rural records are queried as 733 exact components, retaining OBJECTID; ID_COMPONENTE_COPIA distinguishes components, not new records or parcels. 63923 and 63924 retain mining labels without establishing permits. Compatibility and restriction attributes are not current authorizations; unreported values remain unknown. For rural example 63911, “Áreas de protección absoluta”, move the center to longitude -73.15127, latitude 6.85908, zoom to 14 and query the center; to filter, select Rural zoning. A wide view may exceed the query budget: zoom in and query a smaller area. Under IGAC public cadastre, explore land records at zoom 16 or higher and select a record to read CODIGO, codigo_municipio and OBJECTID. Exploration is limited to the map view: reduce the area when results are partial or exceed the limit. “Search by NPN” may return multiple matches; review each record and the partial-result or failure notices for both layers. An empty result does not establish parcel nonexistence. The NPN is excluded from shared links and analytics, and the query is not saved on reload. From the parcel record, press “Query POT across this parcel” to retrieve its IGAC geometry again without clipping or additional simplification and query POT polygons intersecting the whole parcel. The white outline marks the queried geometry. A match may only touch a boundary; the query calculates neither affected areas nor percentages and certifies neither permitted uses, development rights nor building permits.

68418 identifies the municipality in DANE. OBJECTID identifies records, not parcels or permits, and is not equivalent to CBML. IGAC records: EOT2003, Agreement 33 (30 December 2003), status Current, validity Long-term validity expired. Register updated on 15 December 2025. These statuses are attributed to the register: they certify neither current validity nor that the geometries correspond to the most recent instrument. Under IGAC public cadastre, use “Search by NPN” with all 30 digits to query this municipality’s urban and rural layers, independently of the map view. CODIGO preserves the published identifier as text, not a land-title folio or CBML. The database cut is 2026-08-31 and certifies neither ownership, precision nor parcel planning rules. General address search does not identify parcels. Verified samples and windows do not establish a complete municipal inventory.

Sources, dates and limits

Each source’s verification date appears in the table. Retrieval time is not the data update date. Small city-wide layers use the full extent; larger layers depend on the visible area. Reference publications retain their original retrieval date. Each page contains up to 500 features: up to 2 MiB for external services and 4 MiB for local publications. Reference publications load matching pages, up to 5,000 features and 8 MiB per query. External services may return partial samples, identified in the viewer.
