Locate an area and understand its identifiers
Open “Explore activity areas” to inspect the Industrial no Contaminante sample. Select the polygon or query the map center and read Nombre, Codigo, Actividad, Uso_P, Uso_C, Uso_R, Uso_Cond and Uso_Proh. “Sin información”, blanks and nulls mean unreported data, not authorization. Enable the municipal boundary for context. The mapping identifies no applicable act per polygon and does not certify legal validity, uses, permits or building rights; check decisions with municipal Planning. The ORGOT manual permits reuse of its public data and third-party applications; source and attribution are retained. For visual reference, enable the IGAC PlanetScope satellite orthoimage, with a published resolution of 3 m and source input Orto500_Colombia_20240716.tif. One catalog footprint and nonempty imagery at the municipal center were verified; this does not guarantee coverage of the entire municipality or every point in the footprint. The input date, July 16, 2024, does not establish a uniform capture date. It is neither a recent aerial orthophoto, cadastral mapping nor evidence of current conditions; it does not resolve the land-use plan’s legal validity.
Jamundí, Valle del Cauca, DIVIPOLA 76364. The 53 activity-area records reported by the source are reference polygons, not parcels. Codigo and OBJECTID are layer attributes; they neither identify a property nor enable NPN searches. The boundary retains cod_munici 76364 and nom_munici Jamundi.
Use Explore to search and choose queries, Layers to enable and inspect sources, and Thematic maps to compare categories. Under Layers, “Tools and planning register” opens Tools; “Inspect and export results” opens received attributes and results.
In Tools, “Reported planning instruments” lets you inspect municipal acts and their statuses in the national register. Select “Look up national register” to load this city’s records. Instrument status and long-term validity are separate fields; the register may be outdated and does not certify parcel rules. Links open the IGAC source, ColombiaOT and the source linked for this municipality; they do not open an act PDF directly.
Your first query
Activity areas · Industrial no Contaminante sample · latitude, longitude: 3.2756, -76.5342
- Open the example to load the first planning layer at this location. Enter these coordinates in search to return to the area.
- Inspect the layer categories and select a feature to read its attributes. Zoom in if the layer indicates a minimum query scale.
- Enable another layer in the theme to compare boundaries. Map overlap does not constitute an official planning opinion for a parcel.
Open “Planning instrument status” at zoom 11 and select OBJECTID_1 25 from Results. Read LimMunCod “76364”, LimMunNom “JAMUNDI”, TipInstReq “3. POT”, EstRev “No concertado” and EstPotMvct “Desactualizado”. Review the source and its limitations; these undated labels establish neither current validity nor parcel land uses.

Query planning and land use →Query planning and land use at a point
Locate an area and read matching polygons from the integrated layers together. The record retains their codes, attributes, sources and dates; unknown values remain unreported.
- Open the viewer and choose the planning query.
- Mark a point on the map or query its center. Pan the map to inspect another area.
- Compare findings by layer and open their sources. A layer with no matches, awaiting integration or unavailable does not establish an absence of rules.
This is a mapping query by location, not an address search or a legal report. It confirms neither legal validity, permits nor authorized activities; cross-check applicable documents and administrative acts.

Interpret results before sharing
- Read each layer and record’s source and date. Retrieval time shows when the response was received; it does not establish a data update or legal validity.
- Check statuses: an unavailable source or a query without results does not establish that no conditions apply. If a partial-result notice appears, zoom in and repeat the query within a smaller area.
- Filters, thematic maps and statistics describe received records. Do not add overlapping polygons or turn a partial count into a city total.
- Share the public view or export results with their source and date. Measurements are approximate; imported files remain in your browser and are excluded from shared links.
Sources, dates and limits
Each source’s verification date appears in the table. Retrieval time is not the data update date. Small city-wide layers use the full extent; larger layers depend on the visible area. Reference publications retain their original retrieval date. Each page contains up to 500 features: up to 2 MiB for external services and 4 MiB for local publications. Reference publications load matching pages, up to 5,000 features and 8 MiB per query. External services may return partial samples, identified in the viewer.

TipInstReq identifies the required instrument type; EstRev and EstPotMvct retain source labels without a reference date. “Adoptado” or “Actualizado” alone establishes neither an adoption act nor current validity. It does not determine authorized land uses or parcel rules. No act, cartographic date, scale or specific license is declared. These source geometries differ from the ORGOT boundaries consulted: they remain unclipped and unrepaired and do not establish agreement with the municipal boundary. Queries use LimMunCod and allow up to 500 features and 2 MiB. Other views may be partial or fail; an empty result or failure does not establish absence of an instrument or rules. | No dataset-wide date declared; check individual recordsSource checked: | Specific license not declared in the consulted metadata |
