How to use the map of Corinto
Corinto offers 14 IGAC activity areas and 13 rural records. All fourteen urban names are unknown and seven urban uses are empty; notes retain some labels. The instrument register reports PBOT 2001, Agreement 29 of 26 December 2001, as current with an expired long-term period and Agreement 15 of 4 August 2016 without status. Register updated on 15 December 2024. The register neither assigns acts to each geometry nor certifies current validity.

Locate an area and understand its identifiers
Open POT and filter OBJECTID 4367: it retains unknown name, use and note. Compare 4369, whose name remains empty and whose note says “Institucional”, with use code 5, Institutional. In rural zoning, zoom out or pan to inspect 8269, “Perímetro 2001”, and 8270, “Perímetro Incorporado 2016”: both retain unknown use and category; dates in their labels do not prove current validity. Under IGAC public cadastre, explore land records at zoom 16 or higher and select a record to read CODIGO, codigo_municipio and OBJECTID. Exploration is limited to the map view: reduce the area when results are partial or exceed the limit. “Search by NPN” queries both layers within the same municipality via POST and may return multiple matches; review each record and the partial-result or failure notices for both layers. An empty result does not establish parcel nonexistence. The NPN is excluded from the URL, shared links and analytics, and the query is not saved on reload. From the parcel record, press “Query POT across this parcel” to retrieve its IGAC geometry again without clipping or additional simplification and query integrated POT polygons intersecting the whole parcel. The white outline marks the queried geometry. A match may only touch a boundary; the query calculates neither affected areas nor percentages and certifies neither permitted uses, development rights nor building permits.
19212 identifies Corinto, Cauca. OBJECTID distinguishes mapping records, not parcels or permits. Urban and rural domains differ. Under IGAC public cadastre, use “Search by NPN” with all 30 digits to query this municipality’s urban and rural layers, independently of the map view. CODIGO preserves the published identifier as text, not a land-title folio or CBML. The database cut is 2026-08-31 and certifies neither ownership, precision nor parcel planning rules. General address search does not identify parcels. Verified samples and windows do not establish a complete municipal inventory.
Search by NPN
Open an IGAC public cadastre query and enter the complete 30-digit NPN under “Search by NPN”. The integrated Corinto cadastral layers are queried for that code, without the map-view restriction. Review every match and each layer’s status; multiple records, partial responses and failures remain visible. An empty result does not certify parcel nonexistence.
CODIGO is the Número Predial Nacional and is retained as text; it is neither Medellín’s 11-digit CBML nor a land-title folio. OBJECTID identifies a row and codigo_municipio selects the municipality. Owners and addresses are not search fields. The NPN is excluded from shared links and analytics; the query is not saved on reload. Map exploration, unlike NPN search, queries only the visible area from zoom 16 and may be partial.
Database cut: 2026-08-31; not a per-parcel date or certification of ownership, precision or applicable rules. The IGAC item and metadata state CC BY-SA 4.0; CEM 836 states CC BY 4.0. The discrepancy remains visible: retain source, date, selection, license and ShareAlike conditions where applicable when reusing data. Exports may contain CODIGO and retain attribution; sharing the view does not share the queried NPN.
Use Explore to search and choose queries, Layers to enable and inspect sources, and Thematic maps to compare categories. Under Layers, “Tools and planning register” opens Tools; “Inspect and export results” opens received attributes and results.
In Tools, “Reported planning instruments” lets you inspect municipal acts and their statuses in the national register. Select “Look up national register” to load this city’s records. Instrument status and long-term validity are separate fields; the register may be outdated and does not certify parcel rules. Links open the IGAC source, ColombiaOT and the source linked for this municipality; they do not open an act PDF directly.

Query planning and land use →Query planning and land use at a point
Locate an area and read matching polygons from the integrated layers together. The record retains their codes, attributes, sources and dates; unknown values remain unreported.
- Open the viewer and choose the planning query.
- Mark a point on the map or query its center. Pan the map to inspect another area.
- Compare findings by layer and open their sources. A layer with no matches, awaiting integration or unavailable does not establish an absence of rules.
This is a mapping query by location, not an address search or a legal report. It confirms neither legal validity, permits nor authorized activities; cross-check applicable documents and administrative acts.

Interpret results before sharing
- Read each layer and record’s source and date. Retrieval time shows when the response was received; it does not establish a data update or legal validity.
- Check statuses: an unavailable source or a query without results does not establish that no conditions apply. If a partial-result notice appears, zoom in and repeat the query within a smaller area.
- Filters, thematic maps and statistics describe received records. Do not add overlapping polygons or turn a partial count into a city total.
- Share the public view or export results with their source and date. Measurements are approximate; imported files remain in your browser and are excluded from shared links.
Sources, dates and limits
Each source’s verification date appears in the table. Retrieval time is not the data update date. Small city-wide layers use the full extent; larger layers depend on the visible area. Reference publications retain their original retrieval date. Each page contains up to 500 features: up to 2 MiB for external services and 4 MiB for local publications. Reference publications load matching pages, up to 5,000 features and 8 MiB per query. External services may return partial samples, identified in the viewer.

| Multidimensional poverty incidence · DANE 2018 CensusDepartamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística - DANE: www.dane.gov.co · 2018 National Population and Housing Census; IGAC geometry; adapted by GeoSAT Municipal multidimensional poverty incidence published by DANE from the 2018 National Population and Housing Census. This is a census approximation: five dimensions and 15 deprivation indicators defined at household level, with a weighted threshold of 33.3%. The source refers to actually censused private households and recommends considering census omission. The published percentage is retained without inferring numbers of people or households or recalculating denominators. It is neither current poverty nor an annual series comparable with the Quality of Life Survey IPM or Medellín’s local series. Do not sum or average municipalities to obtain department or national incidence. The current municipal reference polygon neither reconstructs 2018 boundaries nor allocates the value to neighborhoods or parcels.
