How to use the map of Acandí

Locate an area and understand its identifiers

Open the prepared rural query, select an area and read its main-use detail. Compare categories in the legend and query the instrument register separately. Records and exports show selected original fields; the complete download retains every attribute.

The original retains six records labelled Acandí (27006), including two pairs of equal geometries with distinct identifiers. Do not sum their areas as exclusive territories. Comparing their vertices with the IGAC reference boundary placed 396 outside; this comparison neither certifies municipal membership nor establishes the cause of the difference. Records remain complete, without clipping, reassignment or removal of copies. The IGAC register lists Agreement 26 of 31 January 2000 as “Current” with an expired long-term horizon; Decree 303 of 30 December 2015 has unreported status and validity. Both records list an update on 15 December 2024. These are separate fields: they neither resolve current legal validity nor link each polygon to an act. The urban request returned zero records; this does not establish an absence of urban planning.

1. Open the prepared rural-zoning query at zoom 14. Wait for all six records and their pages to load before interpreting results; a failure or an empty result does not establish an absence of regulation.
2. Compare Detalle_Uso_Principal categories and select a geometry to read its attributes and original identifier. Copies with distinct identifiers remain separate; unreported values are not converted to zero or allowed uses.
3. Compare zoning with the reference municipal boundary and open the two instrument records under Tools. Read status, planning horizon and dates separately; geometry neither identifies an applicable act nor certifies municipal membership or legal validity.

Interpret results before sharing

1. Read each layer and record’s source and date. Retrieval time shows when the response was received; it does not establish a data update or legal validity.
2. Check statuses: an unavailable source or a query without results does not establish that no conditions apply. If a partial-result notice appears, zoom in and repeat the query within a smaller area.
3. Filters, thematic maps and statistics describe received records. Do not add overlapping polygons or turn a partial count into a city total.
4. Share the public view or export results with their source and date. Measurements are approximate; imported files remain in your browser and are excluded from shared links.
